The Potamkin Prize partners with the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and the American Brain Foundation (ABF).

How to Apply or Nominate

Applications and nominations are submitted through the American Academy of Neurology’s website (www.aan.com). The link for the 2021 Potamkin Prize will be available by early fall, 2020.

The Selection Committee 

A selection committee composed of experts in the field of Alzheimer’s and Dementia, selects the recipient. The committee includes some past recipients of The Potamkin Prize, and other physicians, researchers and neuroscientists.

About the ABF

Since 1992, the American Brain Foundation has been investing in research to defeat brain diseases and disorders. The ABF are a national foundation for the brain dedicated to the relentless pursuit of early diagnoses, improved treatments, and the discovery of cures for brain diseases and disorders.

About the Award

The award consists of $100,000 and an emblematic medallion. Additionally, recipients are invited to use the platforms of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Brain Foundation to share their research and findings with the neurological community, the scientific community and the public at large.
